Central obesity can be simply defined as abdominal fat or pot belly also known as beer belly.
Belly fat is ugly, embarrassing and you can never wear a body-hugging T-shirt without being self conscious. While overeating and lack of physical activity are the primary culprits behind abdominal fat the health risks it puts you are fatal. The deep bond between central obesity and cardiovascular diseases cannot be overlooked.
1. Exercise is the primary means to deal with abdominal fat. Though overeating plays a major role dieting alone can do no good. As you exercise while healthily watching your portion sizes, you burn your calories and speed up your metabolism helping fat loss.
You cannot lose weight overnight. You don’t want to go for a crash diet if your goal permanent and healthy weight loss. A starvation diet is for those who want to lose weight to stay slim and trim for a special occasion. Go weight training activities and cardio work outs for increased metabolism.
2. Controlling your appetite is a task to master. Instead of gorging on thrice a day tolerate your eating instincts. Take 5 small meals in a day to help weight loss. When your food intake is small but frequent your body’s metabolism is forced to keep on burning calories for energy! Making a list of nutritious foods which can be munched all through the day will be a great help.
3. Pills don’t work! Pills may work but on contrary to a healthy weight loss, they reduce your water weight. Losing water from the body may have bad side-effects in the future making it easy for you to gain weight in a faster pace and difficult for you to lose it. Drink plenty of water, especially, warm water as you try to lose weight.
A perfect weight loss combo would have a healthy weight loss diet, increased physical activity and accelerated metabolism!
