I know exactly what you are thinking. “Hey, that’s news to me!”
Many of us are frustrated. We are longing for a change in our weighing scale as we weigh ourselves religiously once every week. We have been doing all sorts of exercises and we have been eating right with low calorie and all fruits. Yet, we do not see what we really want to.
Overeating is far from my concern here. What I am talking about is your eating more of calories can aid your weight loss. On the contrary, when you eat less with a low calorie intake you are in fact decreasing your body’s process of metabolism. That is why even if you feel weak you do not see yourself losing a pound after starving for a few days. A crash diet may work if you want to lose a few pounds in a few days. But for a permanent weight loss aid, eat enough!
When you are eating right and well you are in fact gaining more energy to burn more fat. As you cut down on food, your body stops burning fat and starts storing much of it leading to weight gain. It is a natural process as the body goes on a starvation mode to store your fat and energy when there is no food coming in. You also feel tired and may become inactive.
Also, try this along.
- Try not to finish your meal quickly in five minutes. Take your time, perhaps about twenty minutes to chew your food slowly.
- Take warm water or other warm drinks so that it fills you. A snack might also help.
- Chewable eatables. An apple or a bagel would be chewy and healthy.
- Increase your calories if you have been going on a low-calorie diet.
- Eat a few times in a day rather than taking two long meals.
- Now exercise well!
I did not talk about eating sweets or cookies here, by the way!
