Have you wondered why many women are found overweight than men, especially in their middle ages ? Let’s reason it out together.

Many busy women find themselves eating less and working more. They have to take care of their family and play the dual role of working in a social environment. They work out less and eat very less of healthy things like vegetables and proteins. Being more emotional and sensitive than their male counterparts, women are likely to be “stress-eaters” impulsively eating more during their days of emotional hiccups.

  • Control your impulses to control calories! For a woman to lose weight she needs to hold her emotional reigns tight. Watch your serving sizes and not just your small bowls or plates. Count your calories every time your eat and be within the limit of 1600 calories a day.
  • Watch out for genes. Genes play a major role in your fat metabolism. Is your mom and grandma overweight? If you find a majority of your family members overweight then you have every chance of being so. It simply means that you may have to work harder to stay slim despite watching calories and doing some physical tasks.
  • What is your activity level? If you are sedentary most of the time without much physical activity then you need to find a nice gym for yourself! If you can’t, take some pleasure doing the house chores. After a certain age, women are more likely to develop health conditions like osteoporosis. You not be able to do cumbersome tasks at home. Yet, find excuses to move around.
  • You cannot ignore the age factor. As you age, you may find it difficult to control your weight. Motivate yourself to lose weight and to prevent health conditions like heart disease, cancer and diabetes.

Consult your health care provider to get weight loss assistance depending on your health condition.
