A sweet and simple way to lose weight and cleanse system is to have some lemon juice with honey! Surprised? Don’t be.
Raw and unheated honey has great medicinal properties known to man since time immemorial. Honey is a natural astringent that can dissolve the oiliness of fat substances in your body. Though honey is sweet, it contains no cholesterol.
Many people go on a fast of lemon juice and honey as part of their dieting or weight loss programme. This normally goes for a week while some this can go up to a month. No alarms, though! Honey is a naturally healthy food with proteins, vitamins B1, B2, C, B6, B5 and B3, minerals like magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium chlorine, sulphur, iron and phosphate. It consists of glucose and fructose which is easily absorbed into the bloodstream and is converted into quick energy. While honey provides energy lemon juice removes fatigue and cleanses your system. The sour lemon makes the live and the bladder shed their toxins. The liver is further unburdened and it functions well to metabolise fat optimally.
If you cannot imagine a juice diet, you can try this. The juice of half a lemon mixed in a glass of warm water and a teaspoon of honey should be taken daily in an empty stomach in the morning to aid weight loss. It is more beneficial if you take a morning walk after drinking this concoction. Be consistent but do not exect overnight miracles.
Remember that this should essentially go with a weight loss regimen supported by good exercise and controlled diet. So don’t blame honey or lemon if you fail to shed even a single pound. Most importantly, do not give honey to children, though it is safe for prgnant women.
