There was once a time when every single girl of my class would go “dieting” to lose weight. My best friend succeeded in her efforts although we thought she looked older and anemic. But sadly, on occasion of another friend’s wedding, she was not able to enjoy the feast and threw up instantly. This fortunately brought others to the senses and they took off their diet plan.
When you plan to burn your daily calories you need to remember to eat healthy. If you fail to lose weight despite a rigid diet and regular physical exercise it may be due to your slow metabolism. At this point, starvation due to a low calorie diet may double the problem. You are denying your body its necessary calories for creating energy and the body starts holding on to the fats for fuel. And finally, as a last resort, your body will start breaking down the muscle tissues for energy which results in weight loss with muscle loss.
Secondly, when you start dieting you may deprive your body of healthy foods and eat those which you think may help weight loss. You may end up eating fatty foods with lots of calories for health sake and forsake the nutritious unknowingly.
That is the main reason why you need to consult a dietician or a health care provider before you make a weight loss plan. Your dietician will give you a diet with the adequate number of calories depending on your age, sex and activity level. Only a health expert can load your weight loss diet with essential nutrients like calcium, fiber, and vitamin E. Along with a balanced diet you may need to think of health problems like indigestion, toxification and slow metabolism. While women need more nutrition and low calories the body constitution of men demand more calories.
As you take a healthy diet for weight loss you don’t have to worry about malnutrition and other negative impacts even if you don’t reach your weight loss goals.
