Unhealthy foods? Well, that includes my favorite too. French fries! That is something I can’t resist.
You might have heard of the ill effects of fried potato on health. And funny enough, it is one of the easiest, cheapest and most favored snack of all. Potatoes in effect are versatile which can take a variety of mouth watering disguises. They are healthy with a low fat content and high protein content. Along with iron and antioxidants they have vitamin C, B1, B3 and B6 and minerals like potassium, phosphorus and magnesium, and contains folate, pantothenic acid and riboflavin. But frying them causes loss of minerals and increased fat content. It also adds up toxic and hazardous elements like carcinogenic acrylamide, trans fats and free radicals. The glycemic potatoes also raise your blood sugar level and can cause mood swings.
Soft drinks are things you cannot do without. Most of us know that they have nothing healthy other than sodium, sugar, caffeine, artificial colors and flavors and preservatives. Cutting down soft drinks can help weight loss and also reduce the chance of diseases like osteoporosis, heart disease, dental problems etc.A day without sugar and salt is more than impossible. Sugar is a significant part of our staple diet. The sugar you consume is an immune suppressant loaded with many elements and preservatives which are not friendly to your body. Also, beware of the low-calorie foods which claim to be good diets. They may have toxic ingredients like preservative and stimulants which can have adverse effect on health.
